Listen to Their Heart Cry
"Loving children is listening to their hearts' cry
and then doing something about it."

                                                                            ~ Michelle

Welcome to  Heart Cry Parenting.TM   Heart Cry ParentingTM was founded by Michelle Hurtt as a result of her experience as a Social Worker and was created to help social service agencies, foster care agencies, schools, churches, and parent groups meet their parent education needs.   Heart Cry ParentingTM offers both direct and train-the-trainer parent education workshops and specializes in educating parents about the special parenting needs of traumatized children.  Our mission is to help children who have been physicially, emotionally, and sexually abused by educating caregivers about their special needs.  Our goal: To facilitate safe, loving, and healing home environments for children who have been or remain in foster care.

The train-the-trainer parent education workshops can help your organization realize your goals.  These train-the-trainer parent education workshops are designed to give trainers step-by-step instruction for how to effectively deliver each of the parent education classes listed below and how to develop useful Family Action Plans.  These workshops have been designed specifically for parents of traumatized children.  Upon request, we will meet with agency directors to design a training program that meets your specific training needs.  Workshops currently being offered are:
